12 o'clock blessing

this is where i count my blessings. it doesn't have to be a million dollar blessing. i just want to list down the blessings i receive everyday. this is a way for me to show myself how i am truly blessed.

surviving on food from nowhere:sotanghon soup

we're now eating lean. trying to make good food out of stocks left in the cabinet. last night we had nice hot vermicelli soup.

Ingredients
1 small canned sardines in red tomato sauce found deep inside our food cabinet
1 small vermicelli dried noodles in a single serve pack
1/2 an onion found hidden in the vegetable crisper
used oil probably came after frying dried squid
3 fresh eggs donated by my good brother in law
somewhat ok small cabbage. old and darkened outer leaves pulled out.

Slice the onions. Saute it using the used oil.
Add the found sardines. Add ample water for you to have good soup.
Add the vermicelli and simmer it till soft.
put the cleaned eggs with shell in the soup. make sure it's very clean.
Add the sliced recovered cabbage.
Boil till the eggs are hard boiled, the noodles are soft, and the cabbage is good...about 10 minutes.
remove the eggs with shell. wash the eggs in running water. peel the shell. throw back the eggs into the soup. Season with salt and pepper. Serve very hot!

We again survived one day through the little blessings scattered in our humble kitchen.
